Saint Thomas’ C of E Academy is a Voluntary Controlled Church School. It has a “Committed and dedicated Leadership team who are instrumental in creating a distinctively Christian vision and a school that is inclusive, welcoming and harmonious” - SIAMS inspection, March 2018.

We have six Core Christian Values which are at the heart of the school and are reflected in every aspect of our school life. These are Trust, Aspiration, Honesty, Forgiveness, Respect and Responsibility.

Our values are rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and have a significant impact upon pupil’s lives. The School’s Mission statement of “Growing, Learning and Shining together with God” adds to the Christian vision and values which emanate from this which enhance pupil’s learning. Pupil’s benefit from a strong sense of family unity within our welcoming and inclusive Christian community.
