At St Thomas’ we aim for all our children to develop a love for music by providing them with experiences which both engage and inspire them. Throughout their whole school journey we will provide opportunities for all children to listen to, create, play, perform and enjoy music and also appreciate and understand a range of musical styles.  Music can reflect the culture and society we live in and so through our teaching of music, we enable children to better understand the world we live in now and the history behind some of the music around them and also gives them the opportunity to explore their community and then the wider world.
